Urologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility

A hospital is seeking a urologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in southern Kentucky.
The position requires BLS, ACLS, ATLS, a DEA Certificate, and Surgical Critical Care certification. Coverage is needed full-time, Monday through Friday with call duties, and weekend call is optional but preferred at least once per month. The role includes 2.5 days of OR/procedures per week, with further details to be discussed during the interview. Typical cases involve general urology, including stone treatment, cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, TUNA, robotics, vasectomies, ureteroscopies, TURPs, as well as colorectal, basic vascular, thoracic procedures, endoscopies, C-sections, trauma, and critical care. Patient load averages 2-3 inpatients per day and 28-30 patients per clinic shift, with call volume varying from none to 3-5. The provider will work alongside mid-levels and APCs (no RNs) and will have anesthesia support. Admitting responsibilities are required, and the facility is open to multiple providers with continuous care extending into 2025.
