The Urologist is a surgical specialist trained in the care of diseases involving the genitourinary tract. The Urologist will evaluate and treat patients for any disease which need urologic diagnosis and/or medical/ surgical intervention to achieve palliation or cure. The Urologist will be available on a 24-hour basis to provide consultation and care for our patients. The Urologist will demonstrate the ability to relate to internal and external customers appropriately and courteously, maintain the confidentiality of patient/employee information, and to function and work in a safe manner, as well as demonstrating an on-going commitment to and understanding of the Medical Center's Performance Improvement program.

The Urologist will demonstrate the knowledge of principles of human growth and development possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data, and the ability to identify age-specific factors, and needs into patient care activities.
The VACCHCS Surgical Department strives to maintain a safe working environment, in which we identify and address issues and concerns as they relate to safety problems within Urology Section.
