GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

The Upperclassmen Housing Coordinator serves as a University Housing office administrator and works with the Director of University Housing, Dean of Students, and Vice President for Student Affairs to contribute to the holistic development of students and foster a positive experience in housing in support of the institution's mission. The position will require administrative support and oversight to facilities and resident management, program development, crisis management, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as a Christian mentor to students who reside on campus.
  • Manage applications, bookings, and inquiries of current and prospective students using the StarRez housing portal system.
  • Implement the schedule and process of renewing housing agreements for returning students.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution of resident disputes in accordance with the University Housing Policies and Student Code of Conduct. Respond to student conduct violations as assigned by the Dean of Students or Director of University Housing.
  • Working with the Director of Housing Maintenance, supervise facility condition, turnover, and reconditioning of the apartments, townhomes, residential college units and brownstones in cooperation with the Director of Housing Maintenance and Director of University Housing.
  • Oversee the Community Assistant program within university apartments, townhomes, residential college units and brownstones.
  • Oversee upperclassman housing co-curricular activities including events and trips, develop and coordinate University Housing's Community Assistant program.
  • Support the At-Risk Student Contact Team by assisting with contacting academically at-risk students that reside in university apartments, townhomes, residential college units and brownstones.
  • Provide customer service and support to prospective and returning students through leading tours and responding to phone and email inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with emergency response and provide care to students through responding, including assisting the Director of University Housing in checking on and caring for ill students.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of University Housing, Dean of Students, Vice President for Student Affairs, or President.
WORK SCHEDULE:

The Upperclassmen Housing Coordinator is required to work forty hours per week in the University Housing office during regular business hours as well as help with additional University Housing and Student Affairs meetings, and events outside of normal business hours.
