Our client, a senior living community located in Boston, is seeking a Unit Coordinator to join their team for 3+ months. The schedule for this onsite role is 9AM-5PM and is compensating $25 an hour. Qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to apply today for immediate consideration.


Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a respectful and professional environment
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and unit records
  • Handle phones, messages, mail, and act as receptionist for the unit
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and unit documentation using computer systems
  • Transport patients to other locations in the center and assist with appointment scheduling and coordination
  • Review patient records to ensure accuracy and completeness and keep files current
  • Order supplies, label equipment, and manage bulletin boards and educational materials
  • Assist with staffing schedules and electronic timesheet entries
  • Support orientation and training of new staff members
  • Participate in unit meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary clerical training preferred
  • Proficiency with computers and basic medical terminology
  • Prior secretarial or clerical experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
  • Completion of facility orientation and required safety training
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
