Unit Clerk/ Medical Secretary (prior skilled nursing facility experience)Temecula, CA 92592Full Time - Monday through Friday 8a-4:30pmWage: $20-$24/hr DOETemecula Healthcare Center, a Generations Healthcare is in search of a Unit Clerk to join our team.
Job Description: The primary purpose of the Unit Clerk is to is to perform clerical support in an efficient manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor.
Essential Duties (include but are not limited to: - Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
- Operate telephone system as required.
- Answer telephones; determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
- Receive request from within the facility and facilitate messages and responses.
- Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Request insurance authorizations and follow up in a timely manner
- Maintain schedules and calendars, post information as directed, basic organization and cleaning, filing, and inventory.

Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have at least one (1) years' experience in a clerical position or successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute and operate a word processor.
- Must be able to effectively use a 10-key calculator.
- Must have a working knowledge of computers, input/output/retrieval data, etc.
