UI Solutions Architect

A leading retail company in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a Frontend/UI Architect to join their Payment Point of Sale team for a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the modernization of the purchasing experience for over 11 million customers. The Frontend/UI Architect will play a pivotal role in the development of the company's new Point of Sale platform. This position involves collaborating with a team of 9 other architects and a larger team of 200 professionals dedicated to this project. The responsibilities will include developing architectural design patterns, creating/managing project timelines, collaborating with SDLC teams to facilitate rollout of new POS system, and focus primarily on website design, with future expansion to iOS and Android applications. This role will be minimal hands on coding, and more so focused on the bigger picture. The Architect will need to have a strong background in interface/website design, eagerness to learn, adapt and communicate with others.

Required Skills & Experience

SME/Expert in Frontend/UI development (doesnt matter which framework)
React, Node.JS, Angular (they work in React)
Agile experience in an Enterprise environment
Experience creating Architectural design patterns, facilitating requirements and project timelines with SDLC teams
Comfortable being in a role without doing hands on coding

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in networking protocols
Diverse IT background (Cloud, Devops, Infrastructure)
Mobile Development experience
POS Background
