Want to be part of this? We currently have an exciting opportunity for UI Engineer II to join our Tailored Technology team. This individual will design and develop modern, scalable, and high-performance web applications to join our Store Systems team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in JavaScript, React (or Angular/Vue), CSS, and frontend performance optimization. You will work closely with product designers and backend engineers to deliver intuitive and responsive user experiences.

What you'll do
  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React or Angular
  • Build reusable UI components and frontend libraries for future use
  • Ensure high-quality UX by implementing modern design principles and accessibility standards
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional code.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and microservices.
  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Implement state management using Redux, Context API, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to estimate level of efforts with a high degree of accuracy
  • Work in a team-based environment using Agile/Scrum methodologies
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend/UI development
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and CSS-in-JS techniques
  • Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first development
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL for data fetching
  • Experience with SaaS and cloud-based technologies (Google Cloud, Google Pub Sub)
  • Experience working in a CI/CD development pipeline
  • Ability to debug code, analyzes failures, and trace defects to the root cause
  • Experience with Git, version control and Agile development practices
  • Ability to work closely with the product manager and end users to translate business requirements into scalable and highly available tools

This salary range is specific to Colorado, New York, California, and Washington.

The starting salary for this position is $92,800- $106,800 and may increase to $120,500 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from our Houston, TX Corporate office or a remote location.
