Job Title: Trusts & Estates Tax Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid - 3 Days In Office / 2 Days Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time Direct Hire
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 (DOE)
The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Tax Manager with at least 5 years of specialized experience serving high-net-worth individuals and their related entities. This is a hybrid role with a flexible work model and a leadership opportunity for someone looking to make an impact and eventually step into equity partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare Form 1041 (fiduciary), Form 706 (estate), and related filings
- Lead multiple tax engagements with a focus on high-net-worth clients and family trusts
- Ensure compliance with federal and state trust and estate tax regulations
- Translate complex tax issues into actionable recommendations for clients
- Train, guide, and review the work of junior staff and associates
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and financial advisors
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend process improvements
- Actively participate in strategic planning and firm growth discussions
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 5+ years of specialized experience in trust and estate taxation
- CPA license strongly preferred
- Experience in a public accounting or wealth management firm
- Comfortable interfacing with high-net-worth clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High ethical standards and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
