Our law firm client is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support their busy and growing Trusts and Estates practice. After fully onsite training, the role would be on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite and 2 remote. This role is essential to ensuring the seamless administration of estates and trusts while providing exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients and supervising attorneys to assist with estate and trust administration.
- Communicate with fiduciaries, such as executors and trustees.
- Review estate planning documents (Wills, Trusts, etc.).
- Prepare and draft probate petitions, accountings, and financial statements.
- Perform legal research.
- Maintain attorney calendars and case files.
- Communicate with the Register of Wills Office, various courts, creditors, and third-party attorneys.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys.
- Prepare, review, and organize estate tax returns and supporting documents.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in estate and trust administration or related legal work.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Experience with drafting and recording real estate deeds is preferred.
- Knowledge of estate tax return preparation is a plus.
