A premier trust and estate law firm located in the Peninsula is seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Associate to join their team. The firm serves high net worth clients throughout the Bay Area, with a focus on Silicon Valley and San Francisco.The firm is able to provide mentorship, training, and room for growth. They support business development and offer a clear path to partnership-no existing book of business required.
Position Requirements and Details:
Minimum of three years in estate planning, tax, and wealth planning, with a strong background in complex estates. Equivalent experience in tax-oriented real estate or transactional practice will also be considered.
Estate and tax planning for affluent individuals and families, estate administration, income tax, transfer tax, charitable planning, as well as LLCs, LPs, and business succession planning.
Exceptional communication, drafting, writing, research, and analytical skills are essential. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proven experience with Federal and California tax law is required.
California Bar admission is mandatory.
Demonstrates a strong work ethic, ambition within a team-focused setting, and a problem-solving mindset.
Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to diverse personalities is crucial.
Desired Skills and Experience
3+ years estate planning and trust administration experience.
Experience with high net worth clients preferred.
Tax experience preferred.
Licensed in California.
