What you will be doing The Truck and Trailer Store Manager oversees daily operations of a truck parts retail store and warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include managing inventory, supervising staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability while delivering exceptional service to customers.
Responsibilities: - Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of truck parts and accessories.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder merchandise as needed to prevent stockouts.
- Ensure Cycle Counting processes are followed to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of truck parts within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of merchandise to prevent damage or loss.
- Monitor and manage delivery operations for both customer deliveries and inter-store shuttles.
- Sales and Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and purchases.
- Train and mentor staff on effective sales techniques and customer engagement strategies.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train warehouse, delivery, and front counter staff.
- Schedule shifts and assign duties to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to foster growth and development.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a secure work environment for employees and customers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA and DOT standards.
- Implement measures to minimize the risk of workplace accidents and injuries.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor sales performance and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Manage and control expenses related to inventory, staffing, and facility maintenance.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the automotive or truck parts industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of truck parts and accessories, including familiarity with different makes and models.
- Understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Compensation & Benefits: - Compensation: $70,000-$80,000. Compensation will be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications, and education.
