Job Description:
One of our top clients is seeking a seasoned Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney with significant trial experience to handle a robust caseload of complex personal injury matters. The ideal candidate will be a skilled litigator with a proven ability to effectively represent clients in all phases of litigation, from initial investigation and discovery to trial and appeal.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of plaintiff personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, premises liability, and other negligence-based claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and develop comprehensive case strategies.
- Conduct and defend depositions, draft and respond to discovery requests, and prepare and argue motions.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Independently handle all aspects of trial preparation and execution, including jury selection, opening statements, direct and cross-examination, and closing arguments.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, providing regular updates and guidance throughout the legal process.
- Stay abreast of current developments in personal injury law and litigation practices.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure effective case management.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney in California, with a proven track record of successful jury trials.
- Demonstrated ability to independently handle all phases of litigation, including trial.
- Strong understanding of California civil procedure and evidence rules.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and settlement skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and client-focused approach.
- Proficiency in case management software.
