Job Description: Prominent defense firm in Downtown Los Angeles seeks an experienced Trial Defense Paralegal to join their team. The ideal Trial Defense Paralegal possesses 5+ years of experience, preferably within labor and employment, has demonstrated experience assisting in all aspects of trial preparation, including eDiscovery, and is comfortable supporting a pool of associates.
Trial Defense Paralegal Job Duties:
Assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation
Preparing for depositions and trials
Organizing and managing voluminous case documents
Preparing and filing documents in state and federal courts
Creating and formatting a wide variety of litigation documents including discovery demands and responses, pleadings, motion papers, declarations, and exhibits
Trial Defense Paralegal Requirements:
- 5+ years of civil litigation defense experience required, labor and employment strongly preferred
- Experience filing in state and federal court (including e-filing) is a must
- Must be an intermediate to advanced user with standard business software including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
