Job Description

Responsibilities of a Traveling Construction Superintendent are:
  • Manage ground-up and remodel projects for large-scale retail clients
  • Direct all on-site construction activities and subcontractors
  • Maintain schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Serve as liaison between office-based project team, owners, and subcontractors
  • Conduct daily reports, progress tracking, and inspections
  • Travel nationwide based on project locations (typically 3-6 month duration's

The Successful Applicant

The Ideal Traveling Construction Superintendent will have:
  • Minimum 5 years of superintendent experience, specifically in big box retail
  • Proven success managing multi-million dollar commercial builds
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, specs, and schedules
  • OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain quickly)
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Tech-savvy with familiarity using Procore, MS Project, or similar software
