Job Details - General Information: 30 beds, 3 years experience minimum, will accept a first-time traveler, travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously perm staff, permanent address must be 50 miles away from facility
- Patient Types: Medical, Surgical, Telemetry includes Afib/RVR, CHF, Chest pain r/o, Acute Coronary Syndrome, post Cath Lab with TR Bands, Surgical overflow - Abdominal, General, Sepsis, PNA, Stroke, DKA, COVID
- Patient Ratios: RN: Days - 1:5-6, Nights - 1:6, CNA: 2-3 per 30 patients
- Skills required: Tele RN required, EKG competency examination, cardiac experience - lead placement, cardiac strip analysis/interpretation, Non-titrating Cardiac gtts (Dopamine, Cardizem, Primacor, Amio, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin)
- Support on the Unit: Charge nurse, Phlebotomy - peripheral blood draws, IV/VAT Team for PICC/Midline placement, House Supervisor 24/7; PCC, RT 24/7, Hospitalist available 24/7, OT, PT, ST
- Charting System/Equipment: EMR: Meditech Expanse, IV Pumps: Alaris, Medication dispensing: Pyxis
- Floating: Possibly to comparable units in rotation with perm staff
- Orientation: 2 Hospital and 2 on unit
- Scheduling: Weekend rotation every other, 4 days one week and 3 days the next week, time off up to 7 days - must extend contract for full weeks of RTO, can only request (1) weekend off per 13-week contract, no call, Holiday Expectations: work 2/3 major holidays, Black out dates: Halloween 2024; Black Friday 2024
