Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, evenings Employment Type: Travel Job Title: OR Tech Standard shift: Days Weekly schedule: 4x10 Schedule Notes: 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM - Will be required to work Weekends & Holidays as needed. EMR: Epic Description: The OR Tech, under general supervision by the OR Manager/Surgery Center Manager is a member of the OR Team, working with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists and ancillary support personnel whose primary function is scrubbing for surgical cases. Other functions include handling instruments, supplies, medication, media, specimens, and instrument cases. When fully trained the OR Tech assumes responsibility for call. Qualifications: Education: Associate's degree or certificate in Surgical Technology from an accredited program. Licensing/Certification: Active New York State Surgical Technologist license or eligibility to obtain (if required) Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the NBSTSA (preferred) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience: Min 2 yrs & Must have experience working Ortho cases Previous hospital experience as an OR technologist preferred Must have experience working Ortho cases.
