- Orientation: 2 days hospital and (1) 12-hour on shift
Job Requirements - Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Skills required: PCU level RN, titration of drips, NIHSS experience
- Traveler will be required to PASS an EKG competency exam as part of compliance, prior to arrival
Schedule Information - Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week - this is mandatory
- May work 3/2 or 5/2 rotations, for example: 2 on 2 off, 5 on, 5 off
- Can we approve time off? up to 7 days - must extend contract for any full week of RTO
- May only request (1) weekend of RTO per 13-week contract
- Holiday Expectations: will work 2/3 major holidays
- Will they be on call? No call
Unit Specific Information - Floating: Units: Stepdown, Medsurg - will float frequently
- Support on the Unit: Charge nurse will take patient assignment, depending on staffing, Resource Nurse - yes, RT, 24/7, Hospitalist available, 24/7, OT, PT, ST
- Charting System/Equipment: EMR: Meditech Expanse, IV Pumps: Alaris, Medication dispensing: Pyxis
Additional Details - Scrub Color: Pewter
- Parking: Free in designated areas
- Professionalism is a mandatory requirement - no cell phone usage in patient care areas, earbuds cannot be worn, no eating at desk
