Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing diagnostic (including Modified Barium Swallow studies) and therapeutic services, patient/family education, and appropriate referrals as necessary to patients exhibiting a speech, language, or swallowing disorder; maintaining systematic records in accordance with professional and regulatory guidelines; maintaining quality care for all patients through interaction with hospital personnel in a coordinated, comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach; and providing assistance where communication barriers exist due to speech/language disabilities to enable each individual to reach his or her maximum level of independence. This will be accomplished by performing the following duties in accordance with Community Hospital and the Therapy Works Department s policies and procedures. This position will cover inpatient and outpatient services. Qualifications License, Education and/or Experience Required: Master s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Maintains a current Certificate of Clinical Competence granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Current BLS Current Certificate of Clinical Competence granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Current unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Colorado
