Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday between 8 am and 7 pm, with on-call rotation for evenings and weekends
Hourly Rate: $54 per hour

We are actively hiring a Clinical Primary Therapist (LMSW or LCSW) with strong outpatient behavioral health experience for a 26-week contract assignment in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York. This position involves a blend of outpatient therapy and crisis intervention, requiring a clinician who is confident with assessments, treatment planning, and responding to behavioral health emergencies. What You'll Do
As a Clinical Primary Therapist, you will work with individuals and families in both structured outpatient therapy settings and during acute crisis interventions. You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based therapeutic care while fostering a supportive and healing environment.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments including psychosocial histories, mental status exams, risk evaluations, and co-occurring disorder screenings
  • Developing person-centered, culturally responsive treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families
  • Providing individual and group counseling using evidence-based modalities focused on recovery, emotional wellness, and symptom management
  • Coordinating care across interdisciplinary teams and engaging in discharge planning and resource referrals
  • Participating in on-call rotations for emergency department behavioral health crisis evaluations
  • Maintaining timely and compliant documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and reassessments
  • Supporting client engagement, retention, and goal achievement through high-quality, personalized care
What We're Looking For
  • Active LMSW or LCSW license in New York State
  • Prior experience working in New York State with a strong understanding of OMH regulations
  • Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient behavioral health settings
  • Crisis intervention and emergency mental health evaluation experience strongly preferred
  • Availability for rotating on-call coverage including evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
