Job Title: Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Specialist Job Specialty: RRT - ECMO Specialist Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00); Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Up to 3 shifts may be canceled by the facility as needed Experience: Minimum 2 years as RRT and 1 year as ECMO Specialist required. First-timers accepted with a minimum of 1 year ECMO Specialist experience. License: State License required; pending license accepted but must be active by the start. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and RRT required. Must-Have: Adult Critical Care experience. Job Description: - Provide respiratory care to patients in a critical care setting. - Required skills and experience in airway management devices and suctioning, including endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, intubation assist, nasal airway placement, and more. - Care for patients with conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, ECMO, fresh tracheostomy, and pneumonia. - Administer medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, and others; experience with medication delivery systems and nebulizer skills. - Provide oxygen therapy using bag and mask, ET Tube, HFNC, and other methods. - Perform arterial puncture and obtain veteran management skills, including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms. - Participate in patient transport within the department or via ambulance. - Interpret ABG, perform chest physiotherapy, and draw arterial blood gases. - Will work every other weekend and be on-call as required for the department. - May float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. - Follow facility requirements and policies regarding compliance and documentation. - Pre-start module completion is required, with a stipend available for completion. Note: Ensure all fingerprints are completed promptly, and all travel or vacation plans are communicated before submission to maintain a realistic start date.
