Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist - Technologist to provide specialized respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic conditions. This role involves assessing, treating, and managing patients with cardiopulmonary disorders in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Assess patients' respiratory status and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, ventilator support, and airway management.
- Monitor and adjust ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, and other respiratory support equipment.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments in compliance with hospital policies.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist in emergency situations, including CPR and airway management.
Qualifications & Requirements: - Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Respiratory Therapist license.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Certifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs.
