Job Details - RESPIRATORY THERAPIST
- Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements)
- Shift: 3x12 variables (will be a mix of days, evenings and nights depending on unit need)
- Years of Experience REQ: 2 years of experience is a hospital setting is required; 2 years of experience is a trauma hospital is preferred. Level 3 Trauma Center exp is required. Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics, Medical floors experience required. Must be OK with occasional L&D situations and pediatrics.
- Epic Experience REQ? Epic experience is required.

- Will the clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, depending on census.

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Top 10 Diagnosis: Heart disease, COPD, Drug abuse, COVID, CVA, DM, uncontrolled HTN, pregnancy, alcohol withdraw, fall/trauma
- Top 10 Procedures: Intubation, bipap management, nebulizer therapy, CPT therapy, oxygen use evaluation, labor and delivery standby, trauma team response, conscious sedation, CPR
- Most Common Equipment: Draegger, V60, Vapotherm, Hamilton T-1
- Cares for the Cardio-Pulmonary needs of all assigned patients, from those who are undergoing routine diagnostic procedures to those requiring more complex critical care support, intervention, and transport support, as applicable to care setting.
- The work requires a team focus working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team aimed toward the best outcome for the patient and organization.
- Must be able to set up, operate, and troubleshoot all respiratory or pulmonary function related equipment, as applicable, in a quick and efficient manner.
- Must be able to quickly assess acute, critical care situations and respond with a decisive and appropriate course of action.
- Good time management skills.
- Neonates are transferred out but must be able to help stabilize the patient.

Additional Details - Must sign SS verification release
- ACLS is required for ICU, ER, PCU, Cath Lab, PACU, Tele, Respiratory Therapists
- AHA, MTN, or Canadian AHA required for certifications
