Unit Details: - BLS, ACLS required -LRT or RRT acceptable - 2+ yrs of experience in RT required -8 hour shifts with an on call rotation -RRT's will be working in office and doing home visits with patients -We are a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company offering services throughout Mid-Michigan. -Our Respiratory Therapists are responsible for customers utilizing equipment such as: home ventilators, cough assist devices, chest vests, and pulse oximetry. -We are accredited by The Joint Commission and provide review of patient care plans, perform preventative maintenance on equipment follow-ups, assist with hospital/hospice discharges and patient instruction. -Currently we have a population of over 30 home ventilator patients -We perform about 5 home ventilator visits per week. Having a SMS RRT on staff, these visits will be primarily performed by us. We will need to train on home assessment technique for the RRT's time-off and on-call coverage, which can be accomplished through a ride-a-long. There should be very few routine home visits. -The coverage service area is spread over several counties supporting our affiliate locations all Michigan based: Lansing, Charlotte, Ionia, St. Johns, and Mt. Pleasant. -Scrubs: Wine/burgundy
