Job Details - Respiratory Therapist
- Unit Details: SSM Health Janesville is a 50 bed community hospital that accepts all patient populations. The RT is responsible for the emergency room (12 beds with 2 trauma rooms), ICU, Family Birth Center and Surgery Center. RT sets up all invasive and non-invasive respiratory equipment throughout the entire hospital, performs ABGs, administers nebulizers and inhalers, EKG's on the floors (ED performs own EKGs) and performs patient assessments. RT attends all C-sections and high risk deliveries, bubble CPAP.

Job Requirements - Years of experience REQ: 1 Year
- First-timers accepted: No
- Weekend REQ: Every third weekend required (this will be night shift).
- Is on-call REQ? Traveler required to participate in call rotation. Call is 2-3 hours following the end of your scheduled shift, and approximately 2-3 call shifts per schedule period, depending on staffing needs.
Schedule Information - Shift: 4x12s alternating.
- 2-3 day shifts per week: 6a-6:30p
- 1-2 night shift per week: 6:30p-7a

- Locals accepted: No; What is the local radius rule? 70 miles
- Pending License accepted: Manager's discretion
- RTO Restrictions: Please request RTO up front if possible. Travelers may be required to participate in holiday and weekend rotation.
Additional Details - Guaranteed Hours: If confirmed to 3x12-hour shifts, SSM will guarantee a min. of 36 hours/ week. If confirmed to 4x12-hour shifts, SSM will guarantee a min. of 48 hours/ week. If confirmed to shift lengths less than 12-hours, SSM will guarantee a min. of 40 hours/week. Please note: SSM may cancel (call-off) the following per 4-week period: Up to 8 hours for Candidates confirmed to 8-hour shifts. Up to 10 hours for Candidates confirmed to 10-hour shifts. Up to 12 hours for Candidates confirmed to 12-hour shifts.
