General job duties.
Types of procedures required.
The scope of work for a Respiratory Therapist includes assessment, therapeutic intervention and education for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders or associated complications.
Respiratory therapists assess individuals to prevent, detect, monitor and manage disease and complications.
Provide therapeutic interventions to directly impact cardiopulmonary health as well as overall health status according to established goals and interdisciplinary care plans.
Provide education to promote preventative care, self management, enhanced cardiopulmonary health and quality of life.
Perform regular assessments of patients and the equipment they are using in order to adjust therapy.
Collect and/or analyze patients' blood and other specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases.
Measure the patient's lung capacity to determine if there are any impairments.
Offer diagnosis results and treatment suggestions based on the analysis of the patient.

Mainly schedule 12 hour shifts, but also do 8s and sometimes 4 hour shifts.
Four hour shifts happen more with extra shifts or some of our staff are 40 hours/week and they do 3 12s and 1 4 per week.
Shifts are 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 7a-3p, 11p-11p and 11p-7a.
16 hours of call in a 6 week schedule, weekends required (every other or weekend status).
Opportunity to pick up extra shifts.

Looking for someone who can work primarily NICU, but will also take someone who can do Adult GF, Adult/Pediatric ICU.
May float to other locations in Fargo as needed: Broadway, South University.
RT creates assignments with a minute based system that pulls from our Epic program.

Min 1 year recent RRT experience.
Experience with adult ICU in an acute setting.
Active BLS card - Must be American Heart Association.
ND license or willing to obtain.
RRT - NBRC Certification (cannot take CRT).
