Job Details - Assessment skills across Pediatric to Geriatric patients with competent knowledge of growth and development stages.
- Performs thorough, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments.
- Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills and provides appropriate nursing care to the unit's patient population.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
- Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Responds professionally and courteously to patients, families, and co-workers, promoting a cooperative patient care environment.
- Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
- Demonstrates knowledge of surgical patient conditions, procedures, and equipment; individualizes care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
- Contributes to perioperative team by prioritizing and directing patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
- Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedures and provides pre-operative and postoperative education.
- Supports timely completion of patient testing and evaluates Pre Admission Testing orders for appropriateness.
Job Requirements - 1 year PACU or Critical Care experience
- RN License - Required
