Compensation:
- Weekly Gross: $2,295.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($20/hour)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at Methodist South Hospital in Memphis, TN. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced intermediate care environment and is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective nursing care to step-down patients requiring close monitoring
- Manage high patient ratios while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Document all care accurately and timely in the Cerner EMR system
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
Unit & Scheduling Details:
- Call: Required
- Weekends: May be required
- Holidays: Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). If only 2 fall during assignment, must work at least 1
- Floating: May float to like units and campuses within 20 miles (rare)
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of PCU/Step Down experience with prior travel experience OR minimum 3 years of PCU/Step Down experience with no travel experience
- At least 1 completed travel assignment required
- Licensure: Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Education: ADN acceptable (BSN required only for select units)
- Certifications: BLS (must remain current through assignment); renewal plans must be listed if expiring during contract
- EMR: Cerner experience preferred
Compliance & Additional Policies:
- Distance from Facility: Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (locals not accepted)
- RTO Policy: All RTO must be submitted at the time of profile submission - no exceptions
Vaccine Requirements:
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required
- Flu Vaccine: Required - No exemptions accepted
