Job Details - Screens and assesses patients in an accurate and timely manner based on levels of care; determines patients' nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care.
- Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain history of food habits and preferences.
- Monitors patients for and provides education on food/drug interactions.
- Records food and drug interactions in the education section.
- Interprets pertinent laboratory, physical and social data in the medical record, as it applies to nutrition care.
- Provides nutrition education and records patient's diet and diet instructions and the patient's understanding of the diet in the education section.
- Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modification.
- Modifies patient menus as needed.
Job Requirements - Minimal one year of experience required.
- Two years of experience preferred.
