Candidate must have experience working with patients in the ICU
Will work with determining malnutritian and treatment plans
work with TPN patients

every 4th weekend is a requirement.
Experience and Requirements:
Licensure cert: Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration or Registration Eligible.
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty: Min. 2 years experience in dietetics in an acute care setting is preferred.
Holiday: Every Other
RTO: no more than 3 days
Education: A bachelor's degree in Dietetics/nutrition from an accredited college.
Float Requirements
Must be willing to float within clinical scope.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for providing clinical nutrition services, including nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention to patients. Ensures patient satisfaction, quality care, regulatory agency compliance and good public relations are achieved through the safe and efficient use of resources. Documents all relevant aspects of medical nutrition therapy/assessments in accordance with standards of care per monthly chart audits:
Consults are completed within 48 hours of referral.
Appropriate risk factor is assigned.
Appropriate charting format is used (scorecard).
Documentation appropriate for age.
Incorporates current evidence-based research into practice.
Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state and accrediting agencies.
Attends 80% of patient, department, and hospital meetings:
Patient Care Management Meetings.
Committee Meetings.
Department In-services.
Educates patients and consumers on nutritional care:
Individual, one - on - one education.
Group classes.
Community speaking engagements.
Monitors menus and prepares diet patterns:
In compliance with physician's orders.
Timely and accurately.
Serves as an educational resource to nursing and medical personnel:
Orients, mentors and trains staff and interns, as applicable.
Assists with care & maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Maintains department records and files:
Monthly report.
Accurate and current communication/patient visit log.
Enhances professional growth and development:
Attends seminars/lectures for CEU for RD status.
Familiar with current literature from professional journals.
Prepares written documentation as required by department:
Meal Rounds.
Test Trays.
Participates in department in services as assigned.
First Day Instructions
Sent by client directly to the worker by 5pm the Friday prior to Monday start.
The worker will receive three emails from client.
1. TEAMS link for Monday which is a virtual orientation day.
a. They will attend a Teams meeting and then continue the day with 'at your pace' modules.
2. Education to schedule their orientation classes.
a. Classes take place Tuesday-Thursday, and the candidate MUST attend. If they try to reschedule or miss a class, they will not be able to complete their assignment.
b. The POCT class is scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd week of the assignment. Please ensure your worker has their POCT class date and remembers to attend.
3.HR Email- scheduling an ID Badge appointment and review policy/procedure.
a. The ID badge is very important to obtain prior to their Orientation Shift. This is how the candidate clocks in and out, which is how invoicing/billing occurs.
Workers must be available for the full 7 days of their first week for Orientation. No special scheduling for Orientation is permitted. If workers cannot attend full Orientation the offer will be rescinded. Orientation - Friday before Monday start candidate will get details via email from the Hospital team directly - please have them check junk folder as well usually around 4:30 pm. Badge appointment is also emailed to the candidate by the facility Monday is a virtual day - Teams call starts around 8:30 - 9 am. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - classes are scheduled onsite 1-4 hours long in early afternoon and details may be sent after Monday meeting is completed Fri/Sat/Sun is Orientation shift which will be on the shift hired for and schedule will be made available after Tue/Wed/Thur classes have been completed by the candidate
