This is an Allied Health Travel position. You must live more than 30 miles outside of Rochester, NY to be considered for this position.

Position: General X-Ray Technologist
Schedule: Day Shift (40 hours/week, with call and holidays).
What You'll Be Doing: - Patient Care First: Verify patients' identity and review physician orders before starting any x-ray procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.
- Expert Imaging: Operate x-ray equipment to capture high-quality radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs based on physician orders.
- Patient Communication: Explain the x-ray procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel at ease.
- Positioning and Safety: Safely position patients, including those with limited mobility, and ensure equipment is used properly to minimize radiation exposure.
- Attention to Detail: Produce diagnostic-quality images for radiologists to interpret and document all patient information accurately.
- Tech Savvy: Use electronic patient information systems to verify and document the patient's details and images. Notify management if equipment malfunctions.
What We're Looking For: - Required:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- NYS license (or the ability to obtain it prior to starting).
- At least 2 years of experience as an X-ray Technologist.
- Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center.
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment.
- Must be able to report to on-call shifts within 30 minutes.
- Preferred:
- BLS certification.
- Experience using C-arm/O-arm within the last 8 months.
