Position Overview for the Radio Communications Technician:
This role will install, program, monitor, upgrade, and align communication and data equipment that will include handheld or mobile radios and accessories, mobile data computers, and global positioning systems. As well as maintain accountability of Land Mobile Radio equipment, shop stock, parts, and equipment needed for repairs and/or installations.
Required Skills for the Radio Communications Technician:
- 2+ years of experience telecom/radio support
- Land Mobile Radio programming experience
- Wide-ranging radio vehicle installation/repairing experience
- Hands on radio support experience with Motorola (Astro 25 Radio System)
