POSITION SUMMARY
Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures and respond to patient questions. Perform diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered by physicians.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology by approved the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Experience:
- One year of experience preferred performing radiological procedures in a hospital, clinic or physicians office.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of radiologic equipment and procedures and safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement.
- Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively and to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and perform simple adjustments.
License/Certification/Registration:
- Registered with the ARRT in Radiology.
- Meets the American Heart Associations standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.

Receives general supervision from the Practice Manager.
