Required Skills & Certifications:
- BLS Certification - Required prior to first shift
- Valid, Current State License - Required
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience - Required
Job Responsibilities: - Follow facility standards on personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality
- Implement treatment goals and plans as directed by a Physical Therapist
- Assist in therapeutic interventions such as:
- Posture training
- Strength training
- Cardiac/endurance training
- Balance and coordination exercises
- Joint mobility and muscle lengthening
- Pain relief techniques
- Functional and community re-entry training
- Train patients in mobility using:
- Orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.)
- Proper use of gait belt and safety techniques
- Demonstrate use of modalities including:
- Whirlpools, hot/cold packs, paraffin baths, TNS/respond units
- Ultrasound, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, therapeutic pools, air splints
- Monitor patient response and intervene as necessary
- Safely operate equipment and report issues
- Recommend new equipment as needed
