General Information: Provide inpatient and outpatient therapy services. Traveler may pick their desired setting.

Unit Specifics:

Number of Beds : 8 Bed ICU Unit, approximately 12 bed Med Surg Unit, occasional referral from behavioral Health unit (16 beds)

Patient Ratios : Acute Care Setting: PT and PTA manage acute care patient volumes, with total average of 10-12 patients per day.

Outpatient Setting: 8-10 patients per day, one on one scheduling, no double booking, 45-60 minute treatments.

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 2 FT office support, Rehab Tech support shared between acute care and outpatient, depending on needs for the day. FT PTA for acute care setting. Outpatient setting: 2 FT PTAs, 1 PRN PTA. An additional PT will also be scheduled working in either acute care or outpatient.

Type of equipment : Outpatient: Treadmill, Parallel bars, Game Ready, NUSTEP x2, Upper/Lower Body Bike, US, Estim, Cupping, Dry Needling

Procedures performed on unit: Acute Care Setting: Typical physical therapy assessment to progress patient to next level of care whether it be outpatient, home health, or skilled therapy facility. Outpatient therapy is also provided here at our facility, again, assessing patient to return to their prior level of care. Adult setting, no pediatrics with exception of sports injuries or orthopedic patients.

Awards/Recognition:

Outpatient: PTA has BIG certification and Wound care certification. Wound Care experience is not required but would allow for traveler to gain experience and knowledge with wound care procedures. Wound Vac, Pulsed Lavage, Sharps Debridement are all provided services within our department.


Our OT program works closely with our PT Team and are Lymphedema Certified. Providing additional opportunities to work closely with oncology patients and those patient with lymphedema.

2 FT PTAs have been at our facility greater than 10 years, along with the director.
