Total Hourly Pay: $62.83/hr
Overview:
CHS is currently seeking a dedicated and highly qualified pharmacist to support our pharmacy operations during a critical period of regulatory transition and increased workload. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to public health while gaining experience in a dynamic clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of medication orders.
Regulatory Compliance: Support compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) ahead of the November 27, 2024 deadline. Assist with monitoring narcotics, 340B, and investigational drugs.
Inventory Management: Manage receiving, tracking, and auditing of pharmacy inventory.
Compounding: Safely perform compounding in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
Collaboration: Liaise with healthcare professionals across CHS and affiliated agencies to coordinate medication distribution and supply chain.
Clinical Consultation: Deliver pharmacy consultation services to Article 28 contracted clinics.
Leadership: Take charge of CMS Pharmacy operations in the absence of Directors and Assistant Directors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
- Valid New York State Pharmacist license (Primary Source Verified by NYSED).
- Familiarity with DSCSA regulatory requirements.
Preferred Experience:
- Pharmacy warehouse or inventory management
- Pharmacy automation and logistics
- 340B program knowledge - retail perspective
- Correctional health or Article 28 clinic experience
