Certification Details - BLS
- ACLS
Job Details - Hospital in AZ in need of RNs to float between PCU, Tele, and Med Surg.
- Must have 2 years experience in med/tele and 1 year PCU.
Job Requirements - Current state license
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year in PCU setting
Schedule Information - 7-7 for AM and PM shifts.
- Schedule is published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time.
- Travelers will need to be flexible.
- Weekend Requirements: Every Other
- Holiday Requirements: Will include travelers in perm staff rotation.
Unit Specific Information - Unit/Department specific orientation: 8 hour day of general hospital orientation, 12 hour shift at West MedTele and 12 hour shift at PCU at West.
Additional Details - Unit/Department: Float Pool
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Geriatric patients, ortho patients, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, CABG post-op day 3-4.
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6.
- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin.
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Each unit will have a charge nurse, will not take assignments.
- RT Equipment: CPAP or Bipap at night in MedSurg, BiPAP, CPAP and Heated High flow in PCU.
- Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes, nurses must be able to interpret strips.
