Unit Notes: Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are able re-add that back in. Department: LAB - Pathoogist Assistant Certs: Do they need BLS (will they have contact w/ patients?) MLT or MT certified: (CA requires CLS) Do they need ASCP (American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science) or AMT (American Medical Technologists)? No BLS. No contact with patients. No MLT or MT certification needed. Yes they will need to be an ASCP registered PA. What areas do they cover? (Hematology/Serology, Chemistry/Coag, Micro, & Blood Bank) Surgical Pathology only. Do they need to be a Generalist? No. Do they need to perform Phlebotomy? No. Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties PA Grossing of complex specimens. The focus of this individual will primarily be on the higher complexity specimens: colon cancers, breast cancers, whipples, etc. It will likely not be the lower complexity specimens like gallbladder, appendix, uterus, etc. LIS System (ie. Polytech, Avalon, Orchard Software, Apollo, Prolis, BioTracer, etc.) CoPath EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area? Cerner Lab Manager/Supervisor Jeremy Johnston (Manager), Rachael Williams (Supervisor) Lab Assistant 2 Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) (1) 8:30am-5:00pm & (1) 10am-6:30pm
