2+ Years of PTA Experience - Required BLS (AHA) - Required IL License - Required Strong background in TKR, THR is preferable Adheres to the APTA Code of Ethics. Appropriately carries out treatment as directed by the supervising physical therapist. Able to provide a variety of treatment approaches utilizing appropriate manual techniques and available equipment and modalities. Maintain and consistently demonstrate competency in all areas of assigned client care needs and seeks out additional information, in-service or other educational opportunities to remain competent and current in practice. Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures to best describe client progress toward established goals. Maintain patient records, ensuring that Certifications and Authorizations are in compliance with third party payer requirements. Functions independently within the scope of the PTA Practice Act. Provides individualized patient and caregiver education Appropriately modifies treatment in response to patient progress and keeps the PT informed of changes in status and overall progress. Assists other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
