Job Title: Outpatient Physical Therapist Location: Olympia, WA Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00) Guaranteed Hour:- 40 Hour Job Description: Must have WA Physical Therapy License or have in hand within a few weeks of application Contract can be 26 weeks or longer, also available for temp to perm opportunity This position is for an experienced pelvic-health physical therapist working in an integrated care model within a busy Women's Health clinic, alongside OB-Gyn and Uro-Gyn specialty providers. The primary role involves direct patient care for female patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, including complex cases and pre- and post-surgical patients. The position requires a high degree of clinical competence and involves extensive communication and care coordination between the physical therapist, OB-Gyn providers, and Uro-Gyn specialty providers. The physical therapist in an outpatient clinic will work with a variety of patients. Patients are mostly orthopedic in nature, but can include any patient in need of outpatient physical therapy services. The Physical Therapist needs to be able to work as a team that includes physical therapy staff, local physicians, and PMG caregivers. In addition, he/she should work well autonomously and be willing and able to take on project development/improvement tasks. Managers are looking for a caregiver who places an emphasis on continuing education and personal development. A PT who is interested in obtaining, or is working to obtain one or more of the following certs is preferred: 1. Pelvic Health Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through the Herman Wallace Rehabilitation Institute 2. Pelvic Health Specialist Certification through Evidence in Motion 3. Board Certification in Women's Health Physical Therapy (WCS), American Physical Therapy Association A PT in this position needs to understand that not all patients are motivated in their recovery & providers must have strategies to engage and encourage patients who lack the motivation to prioritize on their recovery.
