Job Description:
Position: Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray
Facility: Berkshire Medical Center (BMC) Medical Arts Complex
Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201
Duration: 13 weeks( Highly possible extension)
Shift: Days- 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Shift Notes:8hr shifts, but MUST be flexible and able to work as needed/Work hours may vary 40hr guarantee
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend/Holiday coverage if required
On Call Requirements: Yes
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and
procedures is required.
May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems.
Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications.
Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
Maintains department competencies as required.
- Must have excellent patient care skills. Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography
Requirements: 2 Years experience, 1 YEAR CURRENT EXPERIENCE ARRT (R) Certification - Required Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred Must be willing to work weekends and evenings 10/12hour shift requests will NOT be considered for this need. Please make sure your traveler WILL work posted schedule before upload. Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need COVID VACCINATION (dose date on or after 10/3/23) NOW REQUIRED FOR THIS HEALTH SYSTEM. Certification: BLS (AHA) ARRT State License Requirements: Massachusetts
