OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
60 MILE RADIUS RULE
Monday ? Friday, Days
8-hour days
Experience with PointClickCare and NetHealth Rehab Optima
Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy with a minimum of a Master?s Degree in OT. Current NYS OTR license or eligible.
BLS required
Primary work location will be at skilled nursing facility and experience in long term care/skilled nursing is preferred.
Experienced OT will possess a thorough knowledge of therapy principles, ability to provide quality patient care, ability to thoroughly assess patients needs and make adequate, timely and safe discharge plans for all patients.
Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients in a safe manner.
Must be able to coordinate patients? needs while working cohesively with other therapy professionals, nursing staff, medical staff and discharge coordinator
Must be able to demonstrate good, creative, problem-solving skills and be able to think outside the box for more complex therapy solutions.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
Positive and motivating attitude is a must.
