Occupational Therapist Job Overview: Occupational Therapist plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, while meeting department objectives. Serves as co-leader in interdisciplinary approach to patient groups. Location: Portland, OR Schedule: 4 X 10 Days 06:15-16:15 Setting: Hospital Occupational Therapist Duties: - Evaluate muscle strength, motor function, coordination, and ADLs within the inpatient setting. -Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including manual therapy, modalities, and therapeutic exercises. -Fabricate and modify splints to support functional recovery. -Prepare and instruct tailored therapeutic exercise and home programs. -Document evaluations, progress notes, daily treatments, and discharge summaries. -Educate patients and caregivers on pain management, safety, and functional independence. -Identify and address patient safety concerns (e.g., fall risks, mobility issues). -Incorporate ADL training, neuromuscular re-education, and AAC strategies as needed. -Collaborate with healthcare team on treatment and discharge planning. Occupational Therapist Qualifications: -Experience: 2+ Years as an Occupational Therapist (required); Inpatient experience (required) -Licensure: Active Oregon OT License (required). -Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA) certification (required).
