Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist administers ultrasound procedures to pregnant patients, operates ultrasound equipment, prepares patient rooms, equipment, and supplies. Position requires assisting with invasive procedures (amniocentesis), Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, high-detail Level 2 ultrasounds and anatomy surveys. Other duties as assigned.
Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific ultrasound procedures. Teach new technicians how to scan.
Observe the patient and instruments during procedures, report unusual occurrences and record patient conditions.
Prepare room, equipment and materials as needed for patients.
Maintain stock supplies.
Enter exam procedures into a computer database.
Maintain files and filing of patient records.
Perform and help with portable ultrasound exams.
Consult with perinatologist pertaining to findings to assist in diagnoses.
Clean and disinfect ultrasound room and equipment.
Consistently meet schedule and quality requirements.

Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment and have basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
One year of current clinical experience is preferred.
Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred.
