- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift: 1:4
- Night Shift: 1:5
- May have mixed Med-Surg/PCU patient assignments
Required Experience & Skills: - No first-time travelers
- Recent PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry experience required
- Must have experience titrating the following IV drips:
- Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Heparin, Nitro (start), Insulin
- Preferred: Experience with TAVR and CABG recovery
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- Float Requirement: May float to ICU (within scope) and Med-Surg units
Common Diagnoses: CHF, NSTEMI, MI, Heart Block, Pacemaker, TAVR, CABG Day 2, post-cath recovery, Watchman, Bradycardia, VT, Respiratory Failure, Sepsis, Post-Surgical, and other PCU overflow patients.
