Job Title: IMCU Registered Nurse (PCU/Tele) - Nights
Location: Watauga, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Schedule: Up to 2 weekends per month; holiday coverage required
Float Requirement: Must float to MedSurg as needed based on patient volume
Blocked Scheduling: Considered if requested at submission - not guaranteed
Interview Process: Auto-offer based on clinical review - No interviews
Facility & Unit Details: - Unit Type: IMCU following PCU/Tele Track
- Beds: 24
- Average Daily Census: 20-24
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5:1 with a goal of 4:1
- Patient Population: Adult and occasional pediatric patients (pediatrics not frequent but not redirected - must be comfortable caring for peds)
- Special Equipment: Telemetry
- EMR: EPIC (recent proficiency required)
Certifications Required: - BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (now required)
- NIHSS - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
Experience Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Telemetry skills required
- First-time travelers are welcome
