Job Description & Requirements

Schedule & Expectations:

  • No call required
  • Floating required across units as needed
  • General orientation begins on Sundays (includes online CBLs)
  • Start Date: Any Sunday, contingent on timely completion of compliance requirements

Experience & Licensing Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Certifications Required: AHA BLS, NIHSS
  • Traveler's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the hospital's service area

Orientation & Timekeeping:

  • 16 hours of non-billable orientation must be included in confirmation
  • Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without financial penalty on a 36/36 due to low census
  • Additional shifts picked up beyond the core schedule may be flexed as needed without penalty

Additional Expectations:

  • Contract RN/LPNs are expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education, alongside their clinical care duties
  • This responsibility applies to all nursing specialties within Ballad Health
