Special Notes
- RN provides support for the entire NMS group, which includes 6 departments, 6 clinic locations, 15 Clinicians, 4 other RNs, and 14 MAs
- RN performs a high volume of injections (Prolia, Xolair, allergy shots, etc) and assist with in clinic procedures such as PRPs at multiple sites
- RN manages all specialty injections including pending referrals for repeat injections, verifying referral is approved, ordering medication to be sent to correct clinic, and scheduling injection appointments within correct timeframe. A dedicated RN is needed to ensure that medications are approved and correctly ordered (specialty pharmacy vs. clinic stock). Having this oversight helps prevent denials/write offs and medication waste, and ensures patients are receiving their medication in line with their therapy plans.
- RN would be responsible for managing the specialty medications, Rheumatology Epic workload and provide cross-coverage for other NMS departments as needed.
