Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
Camden, NJ
13 weeks
36 Hours/Week
Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Unit Description: We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry RN to float between Trauma, Cardiac, Neuro, Surgical, Ortho, and Cancer Care units. The position offers a maximum patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1.
Required Experience:
- Medical management of chest pain
- Management of blood pressure and electrolyte imbalances
- Electrolyte replacement (both PO and IV)
- Proficient in heparin gtt protocol
- Dysrhythmia course completion and interpretation of telemetry strips
- EKG interpretation
- IV push of antihypertensive medications
- Blood draws
- Placement and maintenance of IVs
- Maintenance of PICC lines, central lines, and ports
- Trach management
- Chest tube management
Additional Information:
- Schedule: Nights and weekends only (Friday to Monday)
- Floating Requirement: Required to float to all like units
- Location: Travel required; must be a NJ resident
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent Tele RN experience at a busy Level 1 Trauma facility
- Shift Cancellation Policy: Client can cancel 1 shift bi-weekly (per pay period) without penalty.
Orientation:
- 2 days of classroom orientation
- No on-unit orientation
- Total of 36 hours
Vaccination Requirements:
- COVID vaccination and booster
- Flu shot required
License/Certification Requirements:
- Current NJ RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification
