Job Overview: St. Francis Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse for a
13-week travel assignment in the
Family Birth Place unit. The RN will provide specialized maternal care, supporting
antepartum, labor and delivery, LDRP, Level 1 Nursery, and Mother/Baby care.
Key Details: - Start Date: July 7, 2025
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three shifts per week)
- Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Up to every other weekend required
- Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs
Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Strong L&D, Mother/Baby Couplet Care, NICU Level III experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required
- Charting System: Epic (Excellian)
Duties & Specialized Skills: Labor & Delivery Management:- Assist with vaginal deliveries, forceps/vacuum extractions, hemorrhage management, C-section recovery
- Perform sterile vaginal exams, fetal heart rate monitoring, APGAR scoring
- Provide pain management (epidural anesthesia, IV sedation, nitrous oxide)
Neonatal & Postpartum Care:- Provide newborn assessments, neonatal hypoglycemia care, metabolic screening, phototherapy, thermoregulation
- Support breastfeeding and lactation, episiotomy/incisional care, fundus/lochia/perineum care
- Educate parents on cord care, circumcision care, car seat safety, discharge instructions
Additional Notes: - On-Call Policy: May be placed on-call as needed
- Local Candidate Rule: No candidates within 100 miles of the facility
- Time Off Policy: No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) preferred
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
- Scrub Policy: Provided by the unit
- Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
