Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Ohio or covered by compact
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac experience, with at least 1-2 years in general surgical nursing
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Dysrhythmia Exam Required (Study Guide Available)
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment
- Coordinate, provide, and direct patient teaching activities
- Administer medications safely and consistent with policies and procedures
- Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination throughout hospital departments
- Manage nursing care within the OR and coordinate the needs of the surgical team
- Provide preop, intraop, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions
- Anticipate scrub nurse needs and operate equipment accurately
- Assist anesthesia during induction and emergence
